Maybe an idiot’s guide to quantum boson sampling

Dr Kwek is currently a Principal Investigator (PI) at the Center for Quantum Technologies, National University of Singapore and a Professor of Education at the National Institute of Education, Singapore. He is currently a co-Director of the Quantum Science and Engineering Centre (QSEC) at the Nanyang Technological University. His main research interests are foundation in quantum mechanics including quantifying multipartite quantum entanglement; quantum cryptography, quantum synchronization, quantum computation and atomtronics.

Boson Sampling is a computationally hard for a classical computer, but it has been shown that it can be solved efficiently with linear-optical interferometers with Fock state inputs. In this talk, we will first review the concept of boson sampling and then we will survey the landscape for boson sampling and discuss some recent work on integrated photonic chip.
