Job opportunity: Quantum Communications Technologies in Singapore
The Quantum Communications Technologist will join the programme office of Singapore’s national Quantum Engineering Programme (QEP), a $121.6 million initiative launched in 2018. One of QEP’s goals is to build a National Quantum-Safe Network, working with academics, government agencies and companies to trial quantum communication technologies.
The technologist will coordinate this project. The role could suit a researcher looking to move into commercial or policy work who has enthusiasm for managing projects and partnerships. We can consider international applications.

Job Description
The successful candidate will execute the QEP vision for building the National Quantum-Safe Network, and work to promote best practices in the implementation of QKD and related technology. This includes tracking the latest standards and accreditation systems and informing the QEP’s consortium members about relevant use-cases. The candidate will also work with consortium members to oversee the roll-out of QKD technology within the Network and identify areas for further research and development.
Qualifications
– Basic degree in physics or relevant technical training.
– Demonstrated experience in deployment of technology.
– The ideal candidate will be a good communicator of technical information. They will have a background in quantum science and technology, and experience in the implementation of quantum technologies. Completion of PhD or post-doctoral training can be an asset.
